Hawaii ! The name alone conjures images of sand and beach...palm fronds and hula........but Hawaii is more than just a place. It's a state of mind.
Let me introduce you to MY Hawaii..... and we will start with our own neighborhood
We live in a village near one of the most spectacular water falls.... Akaka Falls, the longest uninterrupted drop of water plunges 420 feet into the Kolekole Stream
Where you can find many exotic and beautiful flowers like this Torch Ginger found at Akaka Falls State Park

Small streams and water falls dot the landscape
Anthuriums grow in our yards with hardly any effort on our part....
The scent of butterfly ginger follows your footsteps
Cookout potlucks at Kolekole Beach Park just a mile up the road.......
.....where Kolekole Stream and the Pacific Ocean meet
These are just a few of our favorite things................ Our next little trip will take us farther afield.......come back and explore with us!
