A year ago the last week in April, the first in a series of feature articles about farmers markets on the Big Island of Hawai'i was published in the Hawai'i HomeGrown Food Network, a site dedicated to building local, sustainable food communities on the Island of Hawai'i.
Since then to date, 12 markets have been visited and featured. There are still about 12 or 14 more markets to visit to complete the 'round the island' visit. I can't wait to share them all.
The features started with The Kino'ole Farmers Market in Hilo.
