A very low key 4th celebration at our house...
Setting the table
The cloth is a picnic quilt my sister made for us. The side shown is the underside. The red & white napkins have a tropical design.
White bistro plates, the salad plates, cups and saucers, and the pitcher on the white bamboo tray are Blue Calico (Burleigh) by Staffordshire
White teapot, has no pattern name
The red goblets were some I got for my mother many years ago, bought with S & H Green Stamps
Cobalt glasses for water, cobalt star-shaped dish, and pitcher on the white bamboo tray holds flags and yellow heliconia, which represents fireworks.
Navy blue melamine tray
I didn't want to cook, so decided on cold cuts, hard boiled eggs, and cheeses. When I went to look for the cold cuts I thought I had...realized we were out, so defrosted and cooked some maple sausages instead... the tea served was a refreshing mango flavored tea from a Hawaiian brand.
Assorted cheeses, maple sausages, hard boiled eggs with pesto sauce, pimento stuffed olives, toasted pecan halves, and gherkin pickles.
Toast points and cream cheese smothered in Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce from Vietnam.
Our mini Smörgåsbord
